Customized birthday card: a cookie driving a convertible car

painting of a cookie driving a red convertible car

If you have been reading me for a while, you may notice that I love making customized illustrations, whether it is for an order, or spontaneously, for birthdays, like I did with previous illustrations for Deadpool on a unicorn (in french) or Deadpool on the Iron Throne (french), or for a party when moving in Such crémaillère much wow. 😊

Here, it was for a colleague who likes white chocolate, and has a red car named Gina. Then I had the idea of making a cookie with white chocolate chips, driving a convertible car.

I used watercolor, but also a lot of gouache in order to have more vivid colors, especially for the red of the car.

As usual, I always start making a thumbnail, a very minimalist draft of the future illustration. Its purpose is not to be very detailed, but to have an idea of the composition of the illustration: the characters' pose, the background if needed...

And voilà!

If you need a customized illustration, such as a birthday card like this, order yours! 😊
